Senior baseball standout Caeden Barnes of Upland Christian Academy signed a letter of intent to play baseball at San Diego Christian next year. Festivities were held on Friday at the school.
Barnes was the Most Valuable Player in the Arrowhead League the past two seasons. He was an All-CIF selection as a junior, with announcement of that honor for tis year not yet made.
Barnes hit .639 in 20 games with 9 doubles, 5 triples, 11 home runs, 17 stolen bases and 49 RBI.
On the mound he was equally successful, going with a 4-2 record and 1.51 ERA in 11 appearances.
Barnes also competed on the football team in the fall.
