Annie Musser named Ontario Christian girls basketball coach

Annie Musser has been named head girls basketball coach at Ontario Christian.

She had served as head junior varsity coach from 2006 to 2009 and had been in close contact with the school and the program since then.

Musser is a 1997 graduate of the school. She also attended and played basketball at North Park in Chicago. She works for the Yorba Linda school district as an occupational therapist.

“I enjoy the game and it helped me so much I just wanted to give back and help the girls here,” she said.

Musser replaces Kristen Hoekstra who resigned to spend more time pursuing her Master’s.

“She is familiar with our program and has a great comfort level with our former head coach,” Ontario Christian Athletic Director David Parkes said. “Kristen will be a great resource for her.”

The Knights enjoyed a resurgence under Hosekstra so the new coach won’t be starting from square one.

“She did a great job of building a program. I am excited about getting started,” Musser added.
