Rancho Cucamonga softball player Karah Wiseman picks CS Bakersfield

Rancho Cucamonga softball player Karah Wiseman has made a verbal commitment to Division I Cal State Bakersfield after visiting that school the past weekend

Wiseman also was considering Nebraska, Boise State and UC Riverside but liked her interactions with the coaches from Bakersfield. They had been actively pursuing her since watching her at the Champions Cup travel ball tournament in Irvine over the summer.

“I got a really good vibe from them and have gotten to know them pretty well,” she said. “I think it’s an up and coming program and I liked the direction, just judging by some of the other players they were also recruiting.”

The junior catcher hit .378 last season with six doubles, a triple, a home run and 14 RBI in helping the Cougars to a playoff berth.
