Chino Hills senior Tannon Snow hits 50th career HR

Senior Tannon Snow (above, left) of Chino Hills blasted her 50th career home run today in the Huskies 19-1 win over Rancho Cucamonga.

Only six players in Southern Section history have reached that milestone.

Snow’s home run to dead center field came on the first pitch she saw in the fifth inning and came with Brittany Garcia on base.

Snow, who has signed with Washington, has been sitting on 49 for a few games and admitted she might have been pressing just a bit. She was relieved to get the milestone round-tripper.

“I just came up there and took a deep breath,” she said. I got a good pitch to hit.

She’s close to the state record holder, senior Alyssa Palomino of Mission Viejo who has 56, also hitting one today. The two also happen to play for the same travel ball team to they have had fun with the chase.

It hasn’t been hard to keep track of each other.

“It’s all over social media,” Snow laughed.
