The softball playoffs start this week and the local teams all have tough paths if they are to make a run deep in the postseason.
Chino has advanced to three straight CIF finals, all in Division 2, but the Cowboys are in Division 1 now and would have to beat the top seed in the second round, and that is if they can get past Los Osos first.
