Injured Alta Loma baseball player doing better

Freshman baseball player Darren Taylor of Alta Loma remains in stable condition at Loma Linda Medical Center, one day after falling 50 feet while hiking with friends in Cucamonga Peak.

Braves head coach Gilbert Aguilera visited his player today and reported that he is in good spirits.

“He broke some bones in his neck and back but the doctors are surprised he wasn’t hurt any worse. He was very fortunate. He is in good spirits. I was able to talk to him and he could squeeze my hand.”

Taylor even tweeted a message saying , “Thank you for all the prayers. I’m going to be OK.”
