Webb School running back Ricky Gonzales is staying close to home and will attend the University of Redlands.

Gonzales, a 5-foot-7, 155-pounder, ran for 1,792 yards and 24 touchdowns last season for the Gauls (6-5). He rushed for more than 100 yards in nine of 11 games and tallied a season-high of 383 yards in a 62-29 playoff loss to Grace Brethren.

Redlands is coming off a 6-3 season that included a 6-1 finish that was good for second in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). The Bulldogs also played their two non-conference games against teams ranked in the top 5 nationally.
