My picks for Friday night football games . . .

Got both prep football games right last night. Picked Alta Loma over Fontana 27-10, final was 28-11 so I really nailed that one. Now 37-13 on the season.

As for tonight’s games, here goes . . .

Pomona 24, California 17 – The Red Devils are back on the right track. I didn’t have enough faith in them last week. I am not making that mistake this time.

Carter 48, Riverside North 7 –  Another one where the Lions can name the score. But this isn’t getting them ready for the juggernaut ahead – REV!

Chino Hills 32, Roosevelt 14 – Last week was a tough one for the Huskies. They’ll get a bit of a breather tonight.

Bishop Amat 28, Colony 14 – I went with the Titans last week and they got pounded by a team probably not as good as Amat, so . . .

Colton 21, Rialto 7 – Somebody has to win. The Yellowjackets should take this one.

Charter Oak 17, Damien 14 – This could be a close one. Zion Echols may make the difference so I’ll go with the Chargers.

Ayala 27, Diamond Ranch 21 – Both teams redeemed themselves last week after poor openers. Will go with the Bulldogs at home but a win by Panthers wouldn’t surprise me either.

Ganesha 21, Riverside Notre Dame 17 – Jury still out on the Giants. Neither team has played great opponents to this point so hard to tell what to do here. Will go with the local team.

Gladstone 28, Garey 7 – It’s been a tough season for the Vikings. Gladstone isn’t great but it should get by.

Grace Brethren 38, Western Christian 7 – Grace is ranked No. 2, Western has been struggling. Uh-Oh!

Chaffey 32, Grand Terrace 10 – OK, I’m a Mikey Dean fan I admit it. The Tigers will also want to avenge a surprise loss to same team last year, another reason to pick them.

Kaiser 21, Cajon 14 – This game could go either way. Just a hunch, I’ll take the Cats.

Oak Hills 21, Los Osos 14 – The Grizzlies are still looking for their first win. They’ll still be looking after this week.

Ontario 21, Nogales 17 – Toss-up game here but I’ll give it Cameron Poe & company. A win would make the Jags 3-0 and they were 2-8 last year.

Riverside Poly 21, Etiwanda 14 – The Eagles will be without starting QB Andrew Kanatsky  so that is reason enough to pick the Bears.

Rancho Cucamonga 28, Don Lugo 14 – The Conquistadores are getting an hungry Cougar team that is smarting from loss to Norco. Bad for them.

Montclair 17, Duarte 10 – I’m taking the Cavaliers. Duarte hasn’t looked good, even going back to last year.

San Dimas 21, Diamond Bar 20 – Total toss-up here, flipping a coin. The Saints have been the better team in recent years but the Brahmas have Dimaggio Rico . .  . Heads it is.

Bonita 28, Santa Fe 10 – Taking the Bearcats to move to 3-0. Shouldn’t have doubted them last week. I did against my better judgment.

Chino 28, South El Monte 10 – New coach Jesse Ceniceros and his double wing have been impressive. Da’Creh West will be too much for the visiting foe.

Summit 38, Miller 7 – Stephen Carr and company can name the score.

Tesoro 27, Upland 24 – It’s at Tesoro and the Titans have a spectacular QB in Devon Modster. If this game is later in the season I’d probably pick Upland but it’s not.

St. Margaret’s 32, Webb 24 – The Tartans are ranked No. 1 for a reason. And they’re state runner-up for a reason. Webb is on the way up but this is a tall order.

Calvary Chapel 21,  Ontario Christian 7 – Just a guess here.
