Some quick notes on some of the action:
* Etiwanda got its first win for new coach Kevin Davis and did so without starting QB Andrew Kanatsky who was out with a concussion. It was Evan Gutierrez getting the call and performing admirably.

* The loss by Webb was to the No. 1 team in the division which was also a reigning state runner-up.

* Carter has outscored its opponents 164-22. The Lions are off next week, then face Redlands East Valley so we’ll finally see what they’re really made of.
