Final week predictions on tonight’s prep football games

It’s the final week and playoff berths are on the line. My guess as to how things will go tonight:

Rancho Cucamonga 21, Upland 17 – This really could go either way. Upland is starting a freshman QB with a great future. But maybe the Cougars take advantage of that tonight.

Damien 36, Los Osos 10 – The Grizzlies offense has struggled and Damien has been steadily improving, I am going with the Spartans.

Colony 32, Don Lugo 14 – Even if Don Lugo had its QB I would have picked Colony, Certainly a nice showing for the Conquistadores this season but the Titans are the cream of the crop here.

Chaffey 36, Alta Loma 21 – We’ll see if the Tigers bounce back. Alta Loma is young so I think the Braves might be a year away from some good things. Chaffey for now.

Montclair 21, Ontario – This one is to stay out of last place. The Cavaliers have looked a little less bad in recent weeks so I’ll go with the Cavs.

Bonita 27, Ayala 14 – Ayala has been up and down and up and down. I just feel more confident picking the Bearcats.

Claremont 28, South Hills 21 – Another one that should be close.  I’ll go with the Wolfpack at home.

Glendora 38, Diamond Bar 14 – The Tartans will have no trouble running the table in league play.

Chino 46, Walnut 10 – The Cowboys get the gimme game this week. With this league order of finish completely up in the air that’s a good thing.

Diamond Ranch 27, Los Altos 24 – This could go either way too. Heads says Panthers.

Summit 45, Fontana 7 – The SkyHawks will finish up the only area unbeaten and roll into the playoffs with momentum.

Kaiser 37, Bloomington 7 – The Cats will likely be the No. 3 team because of a loss to Grand Terrace. But they won’t lose this one.

San Dimas 38, Rowland 14 – Saints secure No. 2 spot in Valle Vista with no trouble.

Pomona 45, La Puente 14 – The Red Devils are rolling. They won’t hit a roadblock here.

Ganesha 45, Garey 7 – This might seem like an easy pick but Garey beat Ganesha last year. A playoff berth is on the line though. This time the Giants won’t screw up.

Carter  21, Redlands 20 – This is a big one in the jumbled Citrus Belt League. This one really could go either way.

Rim of the World 36, Rialto 10 – Rim has had a tough season but no where near as tough as Rialto’s. The Knights will end up winless.

Citrus Valley 38, Eisenhower 7 – Not a hard one to pick here. Moving on . . .

Linfield Christian 28, Ontario Christian 21 – Linfield will likely be the second-place finisher behind Notre Dame. Ontario Christian is coming off a costly loss last week and it doesn’t get easier this week.

Saddleback Valley Chr. 32, Webb 14 – The Gauls have struggled in league play and now they get the juggernaut. It won’t end well.
