Local football players land MaxPreps All-State honors

MaxPreps has handed out its All-State honors in football and several locals were among those recognized.

In the Large schools category senior defensive end William Hackenberg of Chino Hills earned second team honors. He earlier earned All-CIF honors and was the Daily Bulletin Defensive Player of the Year.

Most of the local selections came in the Medium Schools division. Los Osos had two selections with senior offensive lineman Cohl Cabral making first team and senior linebacker Bryce Youngquist making the second team.

Summit also had a pair of selections with senior wide receiver Damian Alloway on first team and senior defensive lineman Jabari Watson on second.

Rounding out the local selections was Colony defensive back Khalil Dorsey who made first team.

In the small schools category, senior linebacker Josiah Erickson of San Dimas was a second team selection.
