Here are this week’s So Cal Prep Legends Athletes of the Week:

Boys winner is: Andrew Almazan, Chino football

Girls winner is: Mary Bagshaw, Rancho Cucamonga volleyball

We had a lot of good nominees this week. Unfortunately we can only pick one boy and one girl.

Just wanted to give a mention to some of the other worthy candidates put up by a representative of the school or the Bulletin staff:

• Jarell Sykes, senior, RB, San Dimas: Ran for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns and caught 2 passes for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 55-14 win over Maranatha on Friday.
• E.J. Pasiwicz, senior, RB-WR-DB, Bonita: Ran for 227 yards and 4 touchdowns on 29 carries in Friday’s 36-28 win over Santa Fe.
• Khoury Bethley, junior, RB-SS, Don Lugo: Ran for 263 yards on 18 carries and added 2 receptions for 27 yards, scoring 4 touchdowns in all in a 41-20 victory over Pomona on Friday.
• Albert Louis, senior, CB-WR, Ganesha: Had 2 big interceptions in 38-21 win over Gladstone on Thursday at Charter Oak. Returned one 86 yards for a score and brought the other back 70 yards. He also had a touchdown catch of 30 yards.
• Cam’reon Dean, senior, WR-DB, Summit: Scored 3 touchdowns in a win over Hesperia, two of those coming on punt returns and the other coming on a touchdown catch. Was also a factor on defense with 6 tackles.
