Senior basketball standout Camille Parker of Alta Loma has committed to NCAA Division II Cal State Monterey Bay.
She was also considering schools in the same conference close to home in Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino as well as Division III Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
“It has my major (hospitality management) and that is a big thing,” she said. “But the style they play is the same is what I am used to so I can fit right in. I also felt very comfortable there and that’s important because I am going to spend four years there.”
Parker was a four-time All-Inland Valley selection which included a Newcomer of the Year honor as a freshman.
The past season she helped the Braves to a 15-7 record that included a Mt. Baldy League championship.
She is the two-time league MVP, last season averaging 14.5 points, 14 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 5,6 steals. She had 17 double-doubles, four triple-doubles and two quadruple-doubles.
