Los Osos High School water polo standout Delaney Parks has made a verbal commitment to San Diego State.

Parks had some high profile schools from which to chose. She also visited Long Beach State, San Jose State, Michigan and Indiana.

“I liked all the schools,” she said. “But from the first time I stepped on the campus it felt like the perfect place. I liked the coaches and the players and I could see myself being very happy there for four years.”

Parks, who also compete for the Foothill Water Polo Club, helped the Grizzlies to CIF titles both her freshman and sophomore years. She has earned All-Baseline League honors all three years.

She plans to pursue a career in sports marketing or public relations.
