Two locals chosen for West Coast Bowl

Kammy Delp

Defensive lineman Kammy Delp of Diamond Ranch and wide receiver Jeff Farrar of Upland High School have been chosen to participate in the West Coast Bowl at 3 p.m. on Jan. 26 at Redondo Union High School.

Selections were done draft style for the first 50 picks with the coaches choosing the players they wanted. The remaining players will be announced at 6 p.m. Tuesday on www.B2G.TV and uStream. Day one of the draft will re-air at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

A slight error on the part of the event organizers. In a press release on the event it singled out Delp of “Diamond Bar High School.” It probably wouldn’t be worth noting but the happenings of the past week make it rather amusing.

Delp, a 6-foot-4, 305-pounder, has 13 offers on the table and has taken official visits to Washington State and Arizona State.

Farrar, a 6-foot, 195-pounder, has committed to Virginia.
