After-School Program Underway in Ontario-Montclair School District

During the new 2008/09 school year, THINK Together, the largest provider of academically-focused after-school programs in California, will provide support to students at 21 schools in the Ontario-Montclair School District.
There is no cost to parents who enroll their children in THINK Together's programs because these after-school programs, designed to help students achieve their full potential, are funded with state and federal grants as well as investments from private individuals, corporations and foundations.
However, students enrolled in the THINK Together programs must attend each school-day afternoon for a minimum of three hours.
During that time, students receive a healthy snack and participate in various activities including: academic enrichment with an emphasis on improving language arts and math skills; homework help; and dynamic physical activity, an award-winning program called CATCH,  combined with nutrition education.
THINK Together serves more than 30,000 students across a four-county region of Southern California.
School's not on the THINK Together program are Howard, Kingsley, Mission, Monte Vista, Montera, Moreno and Ramona Elementary schools and Serrano and Vernon Middle schools.
Parents should contact their respective school's administrative office to find out more about the possibility of enrolling their children in the THINK Together programs.
