Representatives from the Inland Empire Utilities Agency and the Metropolitan Water District told the Ontario City Council on Tuesday that even further water rationing will likely be necessary by next year.

Councilman Jim Bowman said Ken Jeske, Ontario public works director, has a plan to tighten conservation efforts in the city, which he'll present at the next meeting Oct. 7.
