UPDATE: All-Star to hold baseball camp in honor of Ontario student

Ontario High School and alumnus, Mike Sweeney have organized a baseball camp this weekend in memory of Michael Ortiz.

Sweeney, a Kansas City baseball player, will be hosting the baseball camp this Saturday Feb. 7. The camp is at OHS and will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds from the camp will be donated to the Ortiz fund that has been set up with the Chaffey Federal Credit Union. Registration is $50 and includes a t-shirt and lunch.

Michael and his mother, Alicia Ortiz, were two of nine that were killed in the Christmas Eve masscare in Covina. Michael was a senior at the school and pitched for the baseball team.
