I found this online and I thought people would be interested to know that clips of Metallica music video include scenes from their performance at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

This is from blabbermouth.net :

"METALLICA's video for the song "Broken, Beat And Scarred" can be viewed below. The performance clip was shot by METALLICA's longtime friend and collaborator, famed video director Wayne Isham, on December 13, 2008 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California and December 12, 2008 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California."

The People for Ethical Treatment of Animal will be on the corner of Euclid Avenue and Holt today at 3 p.m. protesting the arrival of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in July.
Wearing nothing but tiger stripes, a PETA supporter will be confined to a cage with a banner above that will read "Wild Animals Don't Belong Behind Bars."
The naked protestor is doing this to raise awareness about the circus's abuse of animals, said Virginia Fort, spokeswoman for PETA.

Rudy Gonzalez is looking for the community's help.
A resident of Creekside and a Creekside West Board member, Gonzalez said he does not want to see the former golf course revert back to native plants.
His neighbors feel the same way, he said.
The group is proposing to convert that space into a dog park.
"Right now dog lovers are using Westwind Park or the high school or wherever. It would be nice to have a place," he said.
But before takes any action into trying to convert the easement space into a dog park, he said he is looking to hear from the community to see if he has their support.
Gonzalez said he does not plan to take it over but hopefully it can be operated by a non-profit organization.
The idea would be to have the park split into three areas: small dogs, large dogs and then a training course, Gonzalez said.
If you are in favor of the idea and would like to get involved send Rudy Gonzalez an e-mail to rudy1gonzalez@verizon.net

Ontario Chief of Police, Jim Doyle, who is set to retire next month was recognized by the City Council with two standing ovations.
From the Orange Hotel to Point Cafe, those were just some of the place that made policing interesting in Ontario, Doyle said.
Dolye said during his tenure he experienced a lot of highs and lows from working races at the former Ontario Motor Speedway to the day in 1975 when a fellow police officer was shot and killed.
But there was never a day that he regretted filling out the application form as a police cadet, he said.
"This has been an outstanding career for me and profession," Doyle said. "I've always enjoyed working here."
Doyle, who was standing next to his wife thanked everyone for their support.
City Manager Greg Devereaux said Doyle began working with the department when he was just 18 years old and quickly rose through the ranks.
His cadet supervisor even predicted that Doyle would one day become chief of Police, he said.
"Jim has been a true pleasure to work with, he's done so much for our force," Devereaux said.
Mayor Paul Leon congratulated Doyle on a good job but said said he will always remember the day when the chief of police came out in a Lone Ranger costume complete with a horse on a stick.
That is something "that can not be topped," he said.
Doyle is set to retire on July 4.
The date of his retirement symbolized the beginning and end of his career, who first began working with the police department as a cadet on July 6, 1973.

The team will not only be going to a Chivas game, but they will be walking with the Chivas team through the tunnel and onto the field.
Congrats to the team.

Inland Empire's Fiasco! has been added to the list of bands performing at this year's Vans Warped Tour. The tour will kick off June 26 at the Fairplex.
I got a call earlier this week from Ontario resident Dorothy Durston, the mother of bandmember Daniel Durston with the news.
A couple of weeks ago the band was performing at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles when they got the invitation, Dorothy said.
The trio, Durston; Brandon Forsberg and Brent Schneiders of Rancho Cucamonga met about six years ago in a battle of the bands event. They were on different bands at the time, Dorothy tells me.

A mandatory water conservation plan with stricter guidelines and monetary penalties is expected to get approved tonight by the City Council.
The ordinance, which is broken into four stages, will help the city manage its water supplies, Councilman Jim Bowman said.
"It certainly raises the level of awareness in the community -- we are in a dire water situation throughout the state of California," Bowman said.
Earlier in the year, the council urged its residents and businesses to voluntarily reduce water consumption by 10 percent, he said.
The steepest measure in the plan proposes residents do away with refilling or filling pools and spas, Bowman said.
Multiple violations can result in a fine up to $500.
Tonight, the council will also:
-Accept a $292,658 grant from the Office of Traffic Safety. The grant will be used to reimburse the city for $268,158 in overtime and $24,500 for equipment and training<NO><NO1>for driving under the influence and excessive speed enforcement programs.<NO>
-Accept a $96,286 grant to purchase fire operations and safety equipment. The grant, which comes from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, requires a 20 percent matching fund from the city.

Follow them on Twitter

When members of Redeemer Lutheran Church sit down today for service, some will reach for their Bibles and some might take out their cell phones.

Starting today and for the next two weekends, Redeemer Lutheran Church will offer a sermon series titled, "The Theology of Twitter."

For those who have signed up to Redeemers' Twitter account, they will receive live tweets about Pastor Ed Blonski's sermon.

"We're actually telling them to turn on their phones," Blonski said. "Twitter embraces what Christ is all about. It's about wanting to know other people and wanting to develop relationships."

Twitter is a social networking Web site that allows a person to write a message of up to 140 characters and be

sent via mobile texting, instant message or the Web.

But don't expect Blonski to be on his computer during the sermon, he will have someone in the pews with a laptop sending out tweets of his sermon.

The theme of his sermon series is based off the book "So Beautiful," by Leonard Sweet. Blonski calls Sweet of his virtual friends.

Blonski and Sweet have met once, but have since kept in contact through e-mail and Twitter.

In Sweet's book, the main points - which are mission, relationships and human interaction - will be the theme for each week, Blonksi said.

Redeemer member Shelly Reinschmidt is already seeing the benefits of her church having a Twitter account.

When Reinschmidt got on her computer on Thursday morning, she said she noticed there were new tweets from the youth Bible study the night before.

"This really allows anyone to access it anywhere they are," Reinschmidt said. "They can get on in any place in the world and see what's going on at their home church."

In the past year, more pastors are using social-network sites such as Twitter and Facebook as a communication tool, said Mark MacDonald, a church consultant and president of North Carolina-based PinPoint Creative Group.

Every church is focused on involving and engaging people, and Twitter is the next generation of being in contact with people, said MacDonald, who helps churches and ministries through print and Web-based mediums.

While some people are concerned about live-time twittering being a distraction, it can actually be the opposite, he said.

"Everybody learns differently," MacDonald said. "Some learn by hearing and others learn by writing."

Aside from learning, he said they are helping the church in another way.

"If someone re-tweets the sermon points, or passes it out the number of people who can get the point is a lot more than those who were inside your church walls," he said.

Twitter can also help pastors stay in tune with current issues and even concerns within their congregation, MacDonald said.

Late this past week, there were about a dozen followers on Redeemers' Twitter site, but Blonski said he is not focused on the number, but sharing in the gospel.

Twitter, Blonski said, is "about being in relationships with each other and the world," but in no way a replacement for going to church.

"The Bible tells us all things are made from God and used by God. So why not use the technology of today?"

But using modern technology is nothing new for Christians, said Pastor Jack Hibbs, at Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills.

From Johann Gutenberg using the printing press to publish the Bible to Joel Osteen using television to broadcast his sermons, Christians have always taken full advantage of modern technology, Hibbs said.

For the past three years, Hibbs has been using V-Blog where he takes questions and answers them on a video blog. He also podcasts his sermons and broadcasts them on internet television.

Despite the modern technology in his church, Hibbs said he will probably never sign up for Twitter, because he doesn't have the time.

The social network, however, opens the door to interacting with God, which is why Hibbs said he wouldn't mind if anyone ever twittered his sermon.

"Technology has now taken the walls of the church and has made them global," Hibbs said.

I got a call from Ron Barksdale with the Salvation Army informing me that he plans on holding a two week summer band camp.
The camp would be open to middle school and high school students and will be held from June 22 through July 3. The camp would be held at the Salvation Army from 11 a.m until 2 p.m.
The students must have their own instrument, he said.
"This will give the students a little something to do," Barksdale said.
Aside from the camp, Barksdale is also looking for the community's help instruments. Anyone who instruments that they can donate to the organization may contact him at (909) 986-6748.
The pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ontario will be offering a new sermon series the next three weekend called "The Theology of Twitter."
Pastor Ed Blonski said they will be tweeting sermon points live from the services. Worship live be Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 8 a.m and 10:30 a.m.
Apparently, Ontario is not the only chuch doing this. There are several churches in the nation that have already done this.
The church already has six followers, but to do it yourself visit:
