Annual Walk for the Hungry

This is a release about an upcoming event:

On Oct. 11,  Inland Valley Hope Partners will hold its 36th Annual Walk for the Hungry.  The 5K event begins and ends at Chaffey High School, 1245 N. Euclid in Ontario and takes the walkers on a route though the Historic College District.  Participants will have collected sponsorships from their family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, teachers and many others, in support of Hope Partners' work which includes: four local food pantries (Ontario, Pomona, Claremont and San Dimas), family residential emergency shelter, and a weekly farmers' market in Pomona.  Hope Partners provides food for more than 800,000 meals annually as well as other services to help empower those who are most in need of help.  With the down turn in the economy, more families come in to the food pantries than before, which makes the Walk this year more critical than ever.

The Walk for the Hungry is a family-oriented event, with In N Out Burgers, and free activities including music, balloons, popcorn, and face painting.  The "Walk" registration will begin at noon, with the Walkers hitting the trail at 1 pm.  Whether you participate in the actual walk, or just come to show your support, please join us for a great afternoon of family fun and, at the same time, help provide ongoing services for the many who need the simple basics of food and shelter.

Admission is free, but non-perishable food items will be collected for stocking the food banks.

Inland Valley Hope Partners serves the communities of Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, La Verne, Montclair, Mt. Baldy, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, San Dimas, Upland, and Walnut.

For more information, call Fran Robertson, at the Inland Valley Hope Partners at (909) 622-3806 x231 or franr@hope-partners.com

Thanks very much for your site. Great info here.

To conclude, disagreeing with this particular thought to any degree could very well be censorship, which is certainly normal for your misdefined 19th-century agenda.
