Local church to offer Pet Food Bank

| | Comments (0) |
Bethel United Church of Christ has started a Furry Friends Pet Food bank in response to the overwhelming amount of families having to surrender their pets to local shelter because of the financial burden.
The first food bank will be held on Oct. 31, and will be held the last Saturday of every month.
The food drive will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It will be available on a first come, first serve basis, said Rev. Jonathon Edwards.
Bethel UCC has partnered with the UHS Schools Workability program and Ontario Veterinary Hospital. Both organizations have provided generous food donations and the UHS Schools is using the Pet Food Bank as a service learning opportunity for their students.
Bethel Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, is located at 536 N. Euclid Ave. (at the corner of F Street) in downtown Ontario.
For information about the pet food bank or to make a donation of food or cash towards the pet food bank, please call our church office at (909)984-9111.
