News on the Nativity Scenes on Euclid Avenue

| | Comments (9)
For the past 50 years, The Ontario Chamber Foundation has been receiving the help of the community financially and physically, to make sure the Nativity Scenes are on Euclid Avenue for the holiday season.
Sponsoring the Scenes: Sponsorship opportunities are now available for the 50th anniversary of the Nativity Scenes. Tom Burciaga, who is organizing sponsorship opportunities for the Nativity Scenes on Euclid Avenue is encouraging newcomers to adopt a scene.
"Almost every year the same people and companies adopt them and get the recognition for it. This year I wanted to offer it to everyone in the community and our local businesses," he said.
Sponsors can adopt a scene for $1,000. To date, four scenes have been adopted.
It is tax deductible and the organization's tax I.D. number is available to you.
For more information call (909) 635-3232.
Setting up the Scenes: Every year, the foundation sets asides a couple of days to set up the scenes. This year they will be on Nov 13 from 12 noon until 4 p.m. and Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. until finished.
For Friday, Burciaga is looking for:
- 15-20 strong people to help move the shelter walls & roofs from storage to the trailer, then unload them on the Euclid median.
- Need a team to handle minor repairs (nail gun and skill saw)
For Saturday Burciaga needs:
- 50 to 60 strong people to help move the statues, lights, and backdrops from storage to the truck(s), then unload them on the Euclid median.
- Small and large groups who can set up one or more scenes.
The Ontario Fire Department will barbeque lunch for the Saturday volunteers.
