Recycling your tree

| | Comments (2)

I'm sure you loved the fresh smell the Christmas tree brought to you home these last couple of weeks. But now that the presents are open and we're about to toast in a new year, it's time to recycle the tree. The city will be collecting trees to recycle starting and Saturday and will stop on Jan. 11, 2010.

There are some guidelines that you have to follow:

-remove all the tinsel, ornaments and garland

-do not place tree in plastic bag

-place the tree next to you trash bins on your regularly scheduled pick up day.

Residents are also encouraged to cut their tree into 18" to 24" pieces and place into their green waste container.

I am delighted to see that there is still a little great content left online. I'm sick of google sending me junk.
