Upcoming 5k run to benefit children
Thursday is the last day to pre-register for the city's 5k Run for Fun and Holiday Toy Drive for Dec. 12.
This year, in an effort to get more participants, the city's Community and Recreation services has moved the location of the run to Citizen's Business Bank Arena.
The race will start there at 8 a.m.
You can pre-register for the race until Dec. 10 for $20. The day of registration will be $25.
Participants are asked to bring in a new and unwrapped toy.
Last year more than 100 toys were collected and distribute to the community centers in Ontario.
