Upcoming Peter Pan production at Chaffey High School

A press release from Chaffey
During the first few weeks of December, J. M. Barrie's 1904 classic beloved
tale of Peter Pan, Wendy, Michael, John, Captain Hook, Smee, the Lost Boys
and Tinker Bell will soar into the magnificent Gardiner W. Spring
Auditorium, home facility to Billman/Masterson productions.

The young and the young at heart will be wisped away to Never Land without
ever leaving their seats as the timeless story of Peter Pan will be
presented the first two weeks of December 3-13, 2009; Thursdays, Fridays and
Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30pm; and a special "Monday
Family Home evening" $7 ticket at 7:30pm on Monday evening December 7, 2009.

Director Dave Masterson feels that Peter Pan is a family show appropriate
for all ages. "Although much of the production is presented dream-like, the
production tackles important issues that families can discuss; issues such
as always being truthful; commitment; devotion; dedication; what it means to
someday leave your childhood behind and the differences between make-believe
and reality.
There are real dangers in Never Land and like the characters in Never Land;
we learn to work through our fear and those dangers by hard work, character
and making good family oriented decisions."

Thespian Haylee Abbott returns to soar through the Nursery window again as
she last was "the boy who would not grow up" while still a student at
Chaffey High School. Daniel Durston returns as the scowling Captain Hook as
does Vanessa Garcia who reprises the role of Wendy, but known to many
theatre-goers as Belle in our lavish production of Beauty and the Beast.

The cast of 80 includes Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and her Indians and of course,
those loveable, if not goofy, pirates.

Look for some surprise guests in the production as rogue pirates from other
seas come aboard the Jolly Roger...and Hook might be confronted by more than
our usual residents of Neverland...

If you want a chance win free tickets then head down to Christmas on Euclid. Some of Peter Pan's cast members will be performing at the "Christmas on Euclid" this Saturday 1-1:30, there will be a raffle for free tickets to Peter Pan performances.

This play was amazing! I went to go see it and the actress playing Peter Pan was incredibly talented. I, who attend a nearby high school, was blown away by the amazing affects, set, performance and talent. Also, as a fellow actor, I was dying to meet the talented actors, mainly being the actress of Pan himself. Wow, is all I can say! The flying was amazing(: Songs were perfect! And above all the production was thoroughly rehearsed. Glad I could have gone opening night! Although, I was sad I didn't have an extra dollar to buy a program. Loved this production(:

I saw Peter Pan yesterday and I totally agree with Lacey. The play was extremely well done and made me wish my school had such nice technology and theater. The actress for Peter Pan and the actor for Captain Hook were exceptional! They were so incredible! Best of all...they flew...
