Memo to all Ontario city employees

"As I am sure most of you have heard, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors appointed me the County Administrative Officer earlier today.

The decision of whether or not to take the job was a difficult one. Working with all of you here in Ontario has been the best working experience of my life. Through your commitment and hard work, much has been accomplished to improve this community. I will always be grateful for the time I have had with you, but the time has come for me to step up to a new challenge.

I believe our City Council will act quickly to determine a process or name my successor.

In any event, I will be with the City for another month to help in the initial part of this transition and my wife and I will continue to reside in Ontario.

Thank you again for everything."

I understand several city employees were watching the broadcast of the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday.
