Street Sweeping Schedule changes

| | Comments (1)
At Tuesday night's council meeting, councilwoman Debra Dorst-Porada asked city staff to elaborate on the changes in street sweeping schedule that have gone into effect.
Mark Chase, the Community and Public Services Director for the city explained the new street sweeping routes.
The new day for street sweeping will be the day after trash is picked up, he said.
According to Chase, if you trash is picked up on Friday then your street will be swept on Monday. Residents are also being asked not to park their vehicles on the street during their trash and street sweeping days.
The new routes are on the city web site.
Dorst-Porada, who had initially requested the changes several months ago, asked Chase about making the parking mandatory.
City Manager Greg Devereaux said the council will receive a report soon on "full-blown," program that would address adding streets signs and creating fines for parking.
