Ontario Rotary to honor Students of the month

Ontario Rotary Club will be honoring the Students of the Month at the club’s weekly lunch meeting Thursday at the Ontario Double Tree Hotel.

The eighth grade students were selected by educators at the eight middle schools of the Ontario-Montclair School District are: Julie Brito, DeAnza Middle School; Victor Martinez Llamas, Oaks Middle School; Gloria Nguyen, Serrano Middle School; Dalen Duguay, Vernon Middle School; Nicholas Malon, Vina Danks Middle School; Karyna Trinidad, Wiltsey Middle School; Esmeralda Adame, Central Language Academy; and Doreen Martinez from Vineyard STEM Magnet School.

Accompanying the students will be Ms Arlene Rodriguez, Elementary Administrator, Central Language Academy.

The Ontario Rotary Club honored its Students of the Month at the club’s Feb. 14 held at the Ontario Double Tree Hotel.
The eighth grade students selected by the educators at the eight middle schools of the Ontario-Montclair School District:
Justin Bolanos from DeAnza Middle School, Sydney Huynh from Oaks Middle School, John Moreno from Serrano Middle School, Patricia Balatbat from Vernon Middle School, Clara Anguiano from Vina Danks Middle School, Alondra Sandoval from Wiltsey Middle School, Jose Gutierrez from Central Language Academy and Edwin Cuevas from Vineyard STEM Magnet School.
Accompanying the students was Bill Corrette, principal of Wiltsey Middle School.
The Ontario Rotary Club salutes these students, their families and educators on this achievement, said member Don Driftmier.

CCAA Museum of Fine Art to be topic of Ontario Rotary Club meeting

Nancy DeDiemar, president of the CCAA Museum of Fine Art will be the guest speaker for the Ontario Rotary Club meeting on Thursday.
DeDiemar will be speaking about the upcoming changes at museum ( I just finished writing a story about this and you should be able to see the on our site soon).  DeDiemar is a graduate of Chaffey High School, Class of 1963 and the University of California at Los Angeles in 1968 with a B.A. in English Literature.
She was the President of Printing Resources of Southern California from 1981-2011 and currently is Co-publisher of Printips, a monthly newsletter subscription service for printers.  Nancy is a board member with four community organizations; OPARC, CCAA Museum of Art, San Antonio Community Hospital Foundation and the Chaffey High School Alumni Association.
The Ontario Rotary Club lunch meeting is at the Ontario Double Tree Hotel and starts at noon.  The cost of the lunch event is $20.  For additional information, call Don Driftmier at 951-206-5731.

Ontario Rotary Club honors students of the month

The members of the Ontario Rotary Club honored the eight students of the month selected by the Ontario-Montclair School District for December at the Club’s weekly meeting today.

The eighth grade students were accompanied by Dr. Sarah Niemann, Principal at Vernon Middle School.

The honored students are Andrew Naranjo from DeAnza Middle School, Karina Alarcon from Oaks Middle School, Koji Kauhaka from Serrano Middle School, Juan Medina-Menendez from Vernon Middle School, Alfonso Aguaya-Robles from Vina Danks Middle School, Evelyn Medina-Villarreal from Wiltsey Middle School, Matthew Ransey from Central Language Academy and Vanessa Bunuelos from Vineyard STEM Magnet School.

The Ontario Rotary Club congratulates these young scholars and salutes the efforts of their teachers, administrators and family.

Rotary Club honors students

The Ontario Rotary Club honored the Students of the Month from Ontario-Montclair School District at its meeting today at the Ontario DoubleTree Hotel.

Each month during the school year, the club honors eight eighth-grade students selected Students of the Month by their schools.

For November, the students honored are Alyssa Manchego from De Anza Middle School, Adrianna Avila from Oaks Middle School, Julian Dubransky from Serrano Middle School, Venisia Sanchez from Vernon Middle School, Citlalli Vivar from Vina Danks Middle School, Joanna Chanon from Wiltsey Middle School, Vanessa Colin from Central Language Academy and Luis Salas from Vineyard STEM Magnet School. Ursula Reveles, principal at Serrano Middle School, will accompany the students.

In addition, the Ontario Rotary Club welcomes the four students who attended the Teen Leadership Camp sponsored and provided by Ontario Rotary District 5300.
Those students are Alvaro Cardenas from Wiltsey Middle School, Keven Michel from Oaks Middle School, Joanna Chanon from Wiltsey Middle School and Yasmene Badawi from Oaks Middle School.
