Local church offering marriage enrichment workshop

If you are married, engaged or dating (regardless of how long you have been together) then Redeemer Lutheran Church for Marriage 101.
This workshop, “Marriage 101: Back to the Basics,” will give attendees the tools for a long and healthy marriage. Participants will learn techniques for dealing with conflict, growing closer together, and learning what God’s Word says about marriage.
The workshop will be held on Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Jerusalem Room of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Cost: $10 per couple

Redeemer Lutheran Christian School host opening

Get a sneak peek of Redemeer Lutheran School Preschool through 8th grade during information night on Feb. 21.

Redeemer Lutheran Church honors Bartholomy

Sad news to share from the council meeting on Tuesday. Councilwoman Debra Dorst-Porada announced that Ontario resident Lawrence Bartholomy, 52, had passed away on Sunday.

Redeemer Lutheran Church and School will hold a memorial service for Bartholomy on Friday at 1 p.m.

Known to everyone as “Joe,” Bartholomy was heavily involved the church for more than 20 year’s but was also vital to efforts to rehabilitate the Nativity Scenes on Euclid Avenue median.

“He was one of our champions for the Nativity Scenes,” Dorst-Porada said. “It’s a huge, huge loss for all of us.” Continue reading
