Wine lovers are going to want to head over to San Antonio Winery in Ontario this Saturday for their first “Meet the winemaker” event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Attendees will get to meet Anthony Riboli, the first member of the fourth generation to join the family business.
He is the first family member to receive a formal degree in winemaking and grape growing from the prestigious UC Davis where he received his M.S. in Viticulture. Upon leaving Davis, Riboli worked with renowned winemaker Michael Weis at world famous Groth Vineyards and Winery in Napa Valley, said Kevin Franke, spokesman with San Antonio Winery.
Since returning home to San Antonio Winery, Riboli has worked in the vineyards, which has resulted in constant improvement with each vintage. Under Anthony’s leadership and guidance the San Antonio, Maddalena , San Simeon, Opaque and Napa Valley’s Riboli Family Wines have improved every year, Franke said.
“Anthony will discuss this year’s just picked harvest, which looks to be very promising as well as sign purchased bottles from our premium labels,” he said.
