.Any veteran Outfester knows that the film festival isn't just about the movies. It's also so much about the parties!
In addition to the opening night bash tonight at the Orpheum Theatre (of which I will report the highlights from tomorrow), other promising soirees during the first week include:

- Friday 7/7: Project Runway: A VIP party celebrating the third season of the show is from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Ivar, 6265 Hollywood Blvd. Project designers and execs will be there.

- Saturday 7/8: Colma: The Musical: Post party at Here Lounge, 696 S. Robertson, West Hollywood, start time is 10 p.m.

-Sunday 7/9: The Groomsman after-party takes place following the screening of Ed Burns' new movie. Party is at Here Lounge starting at 8:30 p.m.

- Tuesday 7/11: Int'l Girls Shorts after-party starts at 10 p.m. at Akbar, 4356 Sunset Blvd.

- Wednesday 7/12: Queer Duck after-party kicks off at 10:30 p.m. at Avalon Hollywood, 1735 Vine St. Hollywood.

- Thursday 7/13: Trantasia after-party at at 10 p.m. La Plaza, 739 N. La Brea

- Friday 7/14: All Girl Friday part at Girl Bar at Ultrasuede, 661 Robertson Blvd., 10 p.m. start.

- Saturday 7/15: Another Gay Movie after-party: Club 7969, 7969 Santa Monica Blvd. Starts at 11 p.m.
