Grant Show on playing gay in FX's "Dirt"

Grant%20Show02.jpgChatted with Grant Show at last night's bash at the Beverly Hilton for the DVD premieres of "Melrose Place" and "Beverly Hills 90120" (much, much more on the party in future posts). I can't believe I favored Billy (Andrew Shue) all those years on "Melrose." I'm here to say that Grant (he played Jake) is the bomb!
Grant was friendly and chatty and seems very comfortable in his own skin. He most recently appeared in the ABC Family show "Beautiful People" with former "Melrose" co-star Daphne Zuniga, will play a closeted A-list star in the upcoming FX drama "Dirt." The show centers around a tabloid and stars Courtney Cox who is also the producer. Grant previously played a gay baseball player in an episode of HBO's "Arli$$" but he says this new gay part "it's a whole different animal. I'm doing some stuff on this show, well, it's FX. They can show a lot."
His lips were sealed, dammit, but the message was that his character definitely gets past first base, probably second and maybe third. I definitely think it's gonna be steamy and I definitely think I will be watching.

I had to ask him about "Melrose," of course.
"Jake really is a part of me," he says of his alter-ego. "There's nothing in Jake that wasn't me."
on which he was involved with so many beautiful women on the show including Amanda (Heather Locklear), Jo (Zuniga) and Allison (Counrtney Thorne-Smith). So who was Jake's true love?
'Oh, definitely Jo," he said. "It's Jo."
