You guys have to watch this show.

The plot centres on John playing a time traveller. In this episode he travels back to war time britain. In one eventful evening he finds the love of his life at a dance hall. The man in question is a usaf officer....who fights and hides his sexuality.

There is no sex, no nudity, no cheap shots. Over the course of one evening they fall in love. The slide you show represents the moment when the usaf officer throws caution to the wind. John pulls the man onto the dance floor where they hold each other and slow dance to the music. The dance crowd silently watch, fascinated. No condemnation, just acceptance.

The two men kiss. Well acted, not overdone, totally absolutley mesmorising (and I speak as a straight woman!). The british press and public were won over by this episode.

The time rift opens and John has to leave.

John plays the character in this show of Captain Jack Harkness.

We learn that this is not his real name, but the name of the usaf officer........The love of his life he keeps alive in his time travelling heart some 60 years later.

As said by Tracey, this episode is where Jack and Toshiko are caught in a Time Rift back in the 1940s. We find out that our Jack's name is not actually 'Captain Jack Harkness' and they meet the REAL Jack Harkness in the ballroom. As the episode goes on, they fall in love but Jack knows he's going to die the next day... they dance, about to go, kiss and then leave fully.

Jack takes on his name.
