Madonna on Rosie and on Britney...

amadge2.jpgMadonna made her first-ever live appearance on "The Today Show" this morning and among the topics she touched on were her good friend Rosie O'Donnell, embroiled in a nasty public feud with the ridiculous Donald Trump :"People are giving Rosie a hard time. I wish they'd stop. I don't think it's fair." Madonna said was on vacation when news of the public feud broke, and quickly emailed Rosie to get the real scoop.
She says that since O'Donnell is a standup comic, saying controversial things in monologues is par for the course. "I have a feeling that if every stand-up comic was penalized for saying politically incorrect or provocative things, I think they'd all be hung in the public square."

amadge.jpgMadonna also said she and Britney Spears have "drifted apart," joking, "we shared a kiss and I never saw her again. You see, that's how it goes in my life."
Later, host Meredith Viera jokingly invited Madonna to kiss her live on camera. "You can kiss me if you want.." Vieira says as the two walked outside. Madonna seemed to ignore the suggestion and it's not clear if Meredith wants to 'never see Madonna again!
