Diana Ross to begin tour...

I've seen Diana Ross in concert three times: 1989, 1991 and 1996 and had tickets in 2000 to see her aborted Supremes tour. Just came across the U.S. dates of her upcoming tour in support of her "I Love You" album. My complaint: where are the Los Angeles dates? Say what you will about Miss Ross, but it must be acknowledged that she gives a TERRIFIC concert.
Here are some of the dates:
APRIL 5, 2007: MASHUNTUCKET, CONNECTICUT (FOXWOODS CASINO)
APRIL 6, 2007: NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK (MADISON SQUARE GARDEN)
APRIL 7, 2007: ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY (BORGATA HOTEL)
APRIL 9, 2007: RED BANK, NEW JERSEY (COUNT BASIE THEATER)
APRIL 11,12: NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO, CANADA (FALLSVIEW CASINO RESORT)
APRIL 13, 2007: MT PLEASANT, MICHIGAN (THE SOARING EAGLE CASINO & RESORT)
APRIL 14, 2007: CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (CHICAGO THEATRE)
APRIL 16, 2007: AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN (PALACE AT AUBURN HILLS)
APRIL 19, 2007: GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS (NOKIA THEATRE)
APRIL 20, 2007: HIDALGO,TEXAS (DODGE ARENA)
APRIL 21, 2007: BEAUMONT, TEXAS (BEAUMONT CIVIC CENTER)
APRIL 22, 2007: MARKSVILLE, LOUISIANA (PARAGON CASINO)
APRIL 24, 2007: ORLANDO, FLORIDA (HARD ROCK LIVE)
APRIL 25, 2007: MELBOURNE, FLORIDA (KING CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS)
APRIL 26, 2007: CLEARWATER, FLORIDA (RUTH ECKERD HALL)
APRIL 30, 2007: HOLLYWOOD, FLORIDA (HARD ROCK HOTEL)
After years mostly out of the performing spotlight, it's very cool to have Diana Ross back. In addition to the new CD and the tour, I want to point out a couple of other Ross-related items of interest: the new book "A Lifetime to Get Here" which provides a very favorable version of Ross' life and career. It's the the antithesis of some of the other books that have been written about her. And then there is a DVD of her performances with the Supremes which initially were her, Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard before Cindy Birdsong replaced Ballard in 1967. It would be fun to watch "Dreamgirls" then go home and play then DVD to see how it was really done!
