Brothers & Sisters: Kevin's boyfriend outed by blogger...
I was out with my friends Michael and Trevor tonight as we gathered to have a "farewell for now" drink at The Abbey. Michael is moving to DC for a great job but had to make it an early night with the movers coming early in the morning. Trevor and I look at each other and realize we can still make it home in time to watch "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters." How hooked are WE? We leave a club filled with wall-to-wall guys in order to not miss the happenings within the Walker family and on Wisteria Lane! We need ABC-hab!
"Desperate Housewives" was notable in that it gave gay teen Andrew Van de Kamp (Sean Pyfrom) an entire scene! He had lines and everything! And his very annoying sister is pregnant and hopefully written off the show for the rest of the season. Gabby has a hot silver-haired politician after her and I hope we see more of HIM. Also, I hate to be catty (meow!) but, I think Susan's daughter, Julie, has got to ditch the dyed blonde hair. It. Is. A. Mistake.
OK, "Brothers & Sisters." The gay stuff was on the back-burner pretty much but had a few scenes with Chad (Jason Lewis) freaking out because a Perez Hilton-type blogger posted pics of him and Kevin (Matthew Rhys) lamp shopping and suggested that they were more than FRIENDS. Chad is mortified. Kevin looks at the pics and says: "I told you that lamp was gay...and ugly!" So Chad decides they gotta lay low for awhile to which Kevin responds: "I'm starting to feel like a vampire." Kevin wants to call the blogger and threaten legal action to scare him off the story. Chad nixes that but says: "I've never seen you so...litigious. It's kinda hot." Of course Kevin calls the blogger dude anyway and makes it all worse and at episodes' end, the couple vow to lie even lower.
I say either out Chad or not and wrap this sucker up...it's boring...and have Kevin move on to someone who isn't a closet case.
The bulk of the episode was about the revelation that the Walker family has a half-sister they never knew about and Nora (Sally Field) finds out about it (her dead, cheating husband is the father). I gotta say, Sara (Rachel Griffiths) was a real jerk to tell the poor half-sister about her true parentage but the whole thing gave Sally some great scenes and really reminded us of what a terrific actress Patricia Wettig, as the mother of the half-sister, really is. She won three Emmys for "thirtysomething" in the late 80s and early 90s but since then, she has not had as good a role as Nancy on that classic show. Now she does and she nails it.

with box office numbers, has been known to camp out near the kitchen

seen a red carpet he didn't want to stroll down.
