Critics coming around on "Brothers & Sisters"

A lot of us knew that ABC had something special from the very beginning with "Brothers & Sisters." But a lot of critics who slammed the show when it debuted are singing a bit of a different tune these days including People Magazine. In this week's issue, critic Tom Gliatto reconsiders this initial critique and is now giving the show three stars.
aaaaacalista.jpg"...the show has developed into a solid soap that really catches fire. Special credit goes to two actors who surprise us by mining mature, wry humor from the show's melodrama." He writes that Sally Field faces the messiness of widowhood "with sweetness and steel" while Calista Flockhart's "nibbly, wide-eyed anxiousness plays well off [Rob] Lowe's thin-lipped directness."
Initially, Gliatto had referred to Field and Flockhart as "two fusspot actresses who might be expected to flutter at each other like moths in a mirror."
Personally, I think Field might have fkuttered and fussed herself to a third Emmy Award come this fall.

If they nominate Field in the supporting category I agree. Minnie Driver in The Riches has really impressed me. Hopefully she will be recognized with a win in Best Actress.
