Jay Mohr cast in pilot about straight-gay partnership...

aaajay.jpgWe already know that Brian Austin Green has already been cast as a gay man in a CBS pilot about two friends and writing partners - one straight, one gay - from the creators of "Will & Grace." Now it looks like the straight guy's shoes will be filled by comedian/actor Jay Mohr, AfterElton.com reports.
Mohr is not afraid of projects with gay themes. He Scott Wolf's lover in the film "Go" several years back (no love scenes tho...dammit!) and I loved his performance in last year's Ed Burns' directed "Groomsmen" which was sadly overlooked by everybody. Mohr was a straight man whose high school best friend comes back to town after an 8 year absence to tells him he is gay and that he disappeared because he thought he'd be rejected. Mohr was so touching and powerful in a scene where he lets the friend know how hurt he is that he wouldn't think he could handle it.
I hope the pilot gets picked up!
