Maybe it's because my favorite color to wear is black. But I'm the rare gay man who will spend a week of vacation in Palm Springs to watch a pro tennis tournament but completely miss The White Party, one of the biggest annual gay weekends in the world. Or maybe it's that once I did Carnavale in Rio a few years ago, everything else pales in comparison.
