Queer Eye alum Thom Filicia in a show all his own...

aaafelicia.jpgInterior designer Thom Filicia is going through major separation anxiety. That's what happens when you've finished shooting one groundbreaking reality series, Bravo's "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy," and started another, the Style Network's "Dress My Nest," airing Wednesday nights at 11 p.m.
"It's baby steps," Filicia tells the New York Post. "Leaving 'Queer Eye' is like meeting someone that you think you're going to be spending the rest of your life with and then deciding that you really love each other but you have to move on."
Filicia, who got the news last year that "Queer Eye" would take its final bow in 2007. The remaining 16 new episodes will air this spring and summer.
Taking its place in Filicia's life is "Dress My Nest," an intriguing show that lets him riff on an individual client's favorite outfit as the basis for making over an important room. If you like khakis and topsiders, that will be reflected in Filicia's design. If you're more into pearls and cashmere, the makeover will reflect that elegance. Primary vendors are Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and West Elm.
"We get up every day and dress ourselves, and we're pretty proficient at pulling ourselves together," says Filicia. "So if you don't have a handle on interior design, it's a great place to start answering some questions: Do I like color? Do I like texture? It's a great springboard, a fundamental roadmap."
