So long, Sanjaya...

sanjaya-hairstyles.jpg
Sanjaya was voted off "American Idol" tonight, right about when he should have been. Now everyone can stop obsessing, VoteForTheWorst.com can go back into obscurity, Howard Stern can reflect on his lack of influence since going to Sirius radio, and the remaining contestants can think about how they are going to outsing each other over the next six weeks!
Sanjaya cried during his highlights reel but hey, he can cry all the way to the bank. The kid is a star now. Whether it's for 15 minutes or for longer {Paris Hilton proves that anything is possible] he'll have more money than I'll ever have...and more hair too!
I wasn't shocked that Lakisha was bottom three since the judges just ripped her last night - unfairly I think. But Blake? What the? Chris should have been in that bottom three but perhaps got himself more votes by shifting so deftly from the nasal singing debate to wishing the Virginia Tech shooting victims and their families well.
As for the Simon eye rolling thing. No big deal...let's move on.
