Before he became magazine editor Daniel Meade on ABC's "Ugly Betty," the terrific Eric Mabius had already created an impressive body of work both in movies and on television. He never shyed away from diversity - projects with gay, lesbians ("The L Word") or (as if the case in 'Betty) transexuals. Here are some pictures of this appealing actor:

Mabius's character in Wirey Spindell winds up picking up a cross-dressing prostitute, but writer-director Eric Schaeffer cowardly cast a woman in the part! (The film was supposed to be fairly autobiographical, but apparently there was a limit as to just how honest Schaeffer felt like being.)
