Solid Goldie on today's "View"
Goldie Hawn was the guest co-host on "The View" today and she meshed so well with Rosie O'Donnell. These two gals oughta put together an act or better yet, have their own show! That way we would not have to emdure that horrendously annoying Elisabeth Hasslebeck who seems to have drank the Bush family Kool-Aid. So you're a Republican Elizabeth, OK. But to remain lockstep with this president and defend all that he has done makes me think of you more as a groupie parroting the party line than an intelligent woman engaged in conversation on a national television show.

So here is this Hasslebeck dame - dressed in this gaudy yellow dress that, quite frankly, looked like it belong to Big Bird - trying to keep up in a conversation with seasoned pros O'Donnell, Hawn and Joy Behar on topics ranging from self-esteem in kids to Sanjaya to the Monica Lewinsky scandal to Goldie's days on "Laugh In."
Goldie is opinionated and optimistic and is the anti-thesis of her ditzy blonde image. I know she'd never join "The View" as a regular but I hope the producers look far and wide for a woman of substance to replace Rosie who will be big shoes to fill.
