OK, just wishful thinking on my part. The producers of "The Price Is Right" met with Rosie yesterday to talk to her about possibly replacing Bob Barker as host of the 30-year-old game show. I think Rosie would be perfect but not sure if the producers, with whom she had a "nice lunch," are sold. Here is what she said on her blog about the meeting:
"I don't know if it's gonna work out," she told fans. "I just think it's a part of American nostalgia, and it's what America needs right now. It would be good for me, but I don't know if it's right for them."
I'm reading that Drew Carey is now the front-runner. Yawn. I mean, he's an improvement over all those professional game show hosts because he does have humor going for him, but is he someone people want to see day in and day out. Rosie is, especially when she's having fun. She has the best track record in daytime TV of anyone besides Oprah.
All Rosie would say on her blog about her new rival was:? "I love Drew Carey."
