The Good, the Bad, and the Bernhard...

I think Sandra Bernhard is a HOOT. She's got a new CD out called "Everything Bad and Beautiful" and did an interview with InMagazine LA to promote it. Of course she touched on many topics but the two I found most interesting were her comments about a non-Rosie "The View" and about the vile Ann Coulter. Read on:
Sandra%20Bernhard-9.jpgABOUT THE VIEW: "Oh listen, they've thrown it to the dogs there. If you want to set up substandard dialogue with people who aren't informed or educated to have a proper exchange, they've accomplished it. It's not something I watch or get roped into. It's a shame there's not more real, intelligent exchange going on with the [political and social] spectors over us."
Obviously, she is refering to Elisabeth Hasselbeck with whom Bernhard had her own dust-up with on the show a year ago after her commentary on race. She was asked by Barbara Walters to discuss her opinion of Laura Bush, which sent Republican co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck into an angry rant ("First of all, HONEY yourself!"). Host Joy Behar, a friend of Bernhard's, then left the stage (for comedic effect), and the segment was cut short.
coulterroll600.jpgABOUT ANN COULTER: "I was shocked when i met her in the green room at Fox News. She came running up to me and introduced herself and said: 'Remember I came back to meet you after one of your one-woman shows...and I think you're fabulous.' ...Oh yeah, Ann Coulter loves my ass, which makes it all the more insane that she wouldn't carry on her politics in a way so that she could actually be friends with groovy people like me. She's Crazy...I think she just wants attention. She's got some emotional deficit."
