What was Barbara Walters thinking?

Did you read my nice little tribute to Barbara Walters yesterday? Well, I take it all back! Not really. But I am disturbed by this stupid remark she made while talking to Ryan Seacrest on his KISS-FM radio show "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest" Wednesday, about how things had changed at "The View" since Rosie O'Donnell's departure. I am lifting the quote verbatim from Towleroad.com:
"The Hot Topics have been fun. There are some things that we were able to discuss that we weren't able to discuss with Rosie, like heterosexual sex. Because, you know, Rosie's lifestyle is different, being an open lesbian...We are perhaps not quite as political [or] vocal about [things], but the Hot Topics have been very fun, and the ratings are up, so we're quite happy. Obviously, the audience is very loyal."

Couldn't talk about heterosexual sex in front of Rosie? Pul-eeeze. Like prim Hasslebeck is gonna tal about sex of any kind. And like Joy Behar isn't going to say whatever the hell she wants anyway.

So, I go onto Rosie's blog and she was taking questions live yesterday and she had this to say about Miss Walters:
"She is a living legend...She deserves respect for that...She is almost 80...She is rather amazing."

But hey, she is almost EIGHTY. So we'll forgive her this dumb remark to Ryan Seacrest of all people. Does he ever talk about heterosexual sex? Just wondering...
