The photo on the right is Aaron Eckhart as he arrived at this year's Golden Globe Awards where he was a nominee for his performance in "Thank You for Smoking." I stood by the red carpet just gawking because he is SO handsome.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaron3.jpgI've seen in lotsa movies and knew he was good looking, but on that day, up close, I realized that he is absolute hearthrob material. So it's so terrific to see Aaron being appreciated by other gays and be featured in The Advocate in the current issue's Big Gay Following feature. Here are a few of his comments about all things gay:
Q. Did you know you had a big gay following?
A. No! Honestly, I didn’t think I had any following, so this is great.
Q. How did your Mormon upbringing affect your views on homosexuality?
A. It was something that really wasn’t talked about. It just wasn’t something I even thought about, because I wasn’t really around it until I came to New York City and lived in Chelsea. Now I have a lot of gay friends. At the end of the day, I pick my own views and beliefs.
Q. Who was the first gay person you met?
A. I’ll always remember. I was working in a restaurant in California with a guy who was gay, and I asked him, “What do you feel when you look at a guy?” And he said, “Well, Aaron, what do you feel when you look at that girl over there, and she’s beautiful and you really want to be with her?” That’s when I got it: It’s the same thing.
Q. Do you have any celebrity man-crushes?
A. There are definitely a lot of actors that I admire, but I wouldn’t say that I’m head over heels for any of them.
