Dying Tammy Faye: "I talk to God every single day"

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatammy.jpgIt is absolutely heartbreaking to see Tammy Faye Messner, gravely ill with inoperable lung cancer, in what appears to be final stage of her life. She's a wonderful woman and has been a high-profile Christian who has embraced gay people with love. She will appear on "Larry King Live" tonight in an interview taped Wednesday.
"I talk to God every single day and I say, 'God, my life is in your hands - I trust you completely...I believe when I leave this Earth, because I love the lord, I'm going straight to heaven."
Tammy Faye is receiving hospice care at her new home in Kansas City, Mo. and recently gained five pounds. She is craving a hamburger and fries but "all I eat is chicken soup and rice pudding." She is in pain "all the time" but has asked doctors not to tell her how much time she might have left: "That's in God's hands."
Here is a video clip of the interview:

Comments

The interview is heart-breaking to watch, but her positive attitude is greatly inspiring. Tammy Fae, wishing you happiness here and in the hereafter when that comes.
