Robert Gant gets new spy series...
I was gabbing with here! TV founder Paul Colichman and he shared with me some terrific news: hunky and talented and best of all, OUT actor Robert Gant is headlining a new series of movies about a gay spy. The first is called "Kiss Me Deadly: A Jacob Keane Assignment." Jacob Keane is a photographer living the family life in Milan with his loving boyfriend, Paolo, and Julia, the daughter he shares with his lesbian friend, Kyra.
The film has already wrapped and will make its debut on the here! TV network in November and there are plans for at least two more movies. This is similar to whart here! has done with Chad Allen's "Donald Strachey Mysteries" series of movies. I'm just so glad to see these guys headlining projects like this. Their independent film, "Save Me" will be the opening night movie at Outfest Thursday night...
So GUESS WHO co-stars with Gant in this new flick about a private dick? I'll give you a few hints then you can go to the jump and see who it is. She once lived in the 90210 and has had a charmed career between being fired from her various high-profile gigs...
It's Brenda Walsh herself...Shannon Doherty!!!
Doherty plays Marta, a woman who arrives from Keane's past life and he is pulled back into the high-stakes world of international espionage. Together they must elude a mysterious enemy threatening to disrupt their now-quiet lives. Out actor Ian Roberts (Superman Returns) co-stars as the villainous Vigo, while John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings trilogy) plays the heroic Yale, a former colleague of Jacob and Marta.
