Shondra Rhimes on Isaiah's new job...

wash.jpgI'm sitting here at the ABC Press Tour with the cast of "Private Practice" on stage. Creator Shondra Rhimes, also the creator of "Grey's Anatomy," has asked about NBC programming head Ben Silverman's remarks earlier in the tour that he had been talking to Isaiah Washington for "The Bionic Woman" before it was official that he would not be returning to the ABC show.
Rhimes, who has seemed supportive of Washington through all the controversy, told reporters wasn't aware that the actor was talking to NBC about possible employment. She said "I guess I don't have any reaction" to Washington's new gig.
"I think he's a really good actor and I hope he does well on 'Bionic Woman,' just not as well as 'Private Practice.'"
COMING IN A BIT: An interview w/Rhimes on Isaiah's firing, on-set morale and on TR.
